THE GREAT QUILT RETREAT

AT WONDER VALLEY RANCH

NOVEMBER 2nd thru 4th 2007    

         Spring is in the air, and we are thinking of the cool days of fall. Yes, there is a quilting retreat again this year at

         Wonder Valley Ranch.

         Since 1997 our Guild has enjoyed going to Wonder Valley Ranch, located east of Fresno in the Pine Flat Lake area.

         We go up on Friday, usually around 2:00 and leave on Sunday around 2:00 pm. This is when we have to tell

         ourselves, it is over for now and we have to go home.

         This weekend is planned just for you. You may start new projects, finish up old ones or work on ongoing projects.

         There is time for horse back riding, getting a massage, or long walks. Plenty of time to enjoy all of the projects that

         everyone is working on (get some ideas ) and to see how some of the projects come together.

         Of course we are so well fed, that we are always saying” we are eating again”. Besides eating, we will have some

         new items planned for the retreat. Meet and greet on Friday, along with a show and tell what you are working on for

         the weekend. Crazy Hat contest on Saturday. There will be a name tag challenge again this year. During the

         weekend when a project is finished there will be a fun announcement made.

         This is always a fun weekend for new members to come and learn about the Guild, what we do and to get acquainted

         with the other members, new and old. And of course to join in on all of the fun.

         Our retreat is open to Guild members and their guest. This way you can bring a friend to enjoy all of the fun with

         you.

         So who is ready to sign up? Here is some of the information that you will need to know.

         For 2 nights: the weekend includes your sleeping room, 6 buffet style meals and the sewing room. The cost per

         person for the weekend is:

         Single occupancy - $343                 Double occupancy - $252 Triple - $238

         For 3 nights (Thursday, Friday & Saturday): the weekend includes your sleeping room, 9 buffet style meals and the

         sewing room. The cost per person for the weekend is:

         Single occupancy -$510                  Double occupancy - $373 Triple -$352

         There are 2 ways to pay for your weekend of fun and quilting:

         #1  1 payment in full prior to July 1, 2007

         #2  2 payments, 1/2 by July 1 and the balance by September 1, 2007.

         Method of payment will be accepted by check or money order only, payable to San Joaquin Valley Quilt Guild. Any

         returned checks will void your place at the retreat.

         The agenda for the weekend will be sent to you; along with the Crazy Hat Contest and fabric for the Name Tag

         challenge, aprox around the middle of September.
